Chatsworth Schools is a leading international group of independent and private schools operating across developed and emerging markets. The organization, founded and led by Anita Gleave, CEO, continues to expand through both acquisition and organic growth. Supported by growth investor Synova Capital since 2019, Chatsworth Schools has ambitious plans to grow its family of schools while maintaining a reputation for academic excellence and strong community values.

The Project

Synova Capital commissioned MTM Consulting to provide comprehensive market evaluations for potential school acquisitions across the Chatsworth portfolio. To date, MTM Consulting has completed analysis for more than ten prospective schools, including the recent addition of Broughton Manor Preparatory School.

Each project includes:

  • Defining realistic catchment areas for prospective schools

  • Estimating market size by age group and neighborhood

  • Projecting demographic and population trends through 2029

  • Analyzing competitor enrollment and roll patterns

  • Assessing local family demographics and potential demand

Where required, MTM also provides customized research, such as special educational needs (SEN) assessments, to support specific investment decisions.

Results

MTM Consulting’s research delivered data-driven insight into market opportunities, competition, and future demand. These findings enabled Chatsworth Schools and Synova Capital to make fully informed acquisition decisions. In the case of Broughton Manor Preparatory School, the data supported a successful acquisition, bringing the total number of schools in the Chatsworth network to fifteen.
